Flotten Lake Resort Limited has been in business since 1979. We are a family run business that has been passed down from one generation and will hopefully be passed down to the next. We have a main camp located on Flotten River, with access to Flotten Lake, located in the north east corner of Meadow Lake Provincial Park. We also have an outpost camp located on Mallard Lake which is west of our main camp and outside of Meadow Lake Provincial Park. Our camp has undergone a lot of changes since 1979. Our cabins which were once very primitive now have running water, satellite TV and even wireless internet. We try our best to cater to all our guests individual needs to make their vacation the best it can possibly be.
Flotten Lake Main Camp
Flotten Lake is approximately 11 km long by 4 km wide with 3 islands, multiple sandbars and rock reefs. The structure in the lake provides the perfect environment for both Northern Pike and Walleye. . .a fisherman's haven. Our resort is easily accessible by vehicle and offers a variety of activities. For the nature lovers of the group we have the White Birch nature trail. Many species of birds, plants and wildlife are abundant in this area and if you are lucky you may get a glimpse of some of the animals we share the forest with. When the season is right berry pickers will find wild blueberries, Saskatoon berries, strawberries and raspberries throughout the park.
Mallard Lake Outpost Camp
Mallard Lake is approximately 4 km long by 2 km wide with multiple bays along it's shores. Located approximately 20 Km west of Flotten Lake (look under Maps to see a map of the park and surrounding area), Mallard Lake is accessible by quad (ATV) only. Our cabin is the only one on the lake and public access is limited. The trip in alone is an adventure you wouldn't want to miss. Our guides will take you and your luggage in to a rustic cabin (sleeps 6) with no running water and a generator for electricity. Enjoy fishing the lake with access to our two boats and motors (all gas included). You will receive an easy to follow map of the lake with the best spots marked to start fishing. Here you will also find an abundance of wildlife and berries for picking when the season is right.
